Spirits of Chua (蔡 酒) is a craft specialty distillery based in Vancouver, Canada that has been a family business for the past two generations. It is a fusion where western and Asian cultures come together to create our unique hand-crafted spirits. The company focuses specifically on creating infused brandy, vodka, and whiskeys.
Brand Story
From the tropical islands of the Philippines to the coastal seaports of Vancouver, our family was faced with a great deal of challenges.
The one thing we missed the most was the familiar flavours from traditional herbs and spices that were not easily sold here.
From that nostalgia, Spirits of Chua (蔡 酒) was born from Grandpa’s traditional Chinese recipes which we evolved to bring together Eastern and Western alcohol techniques.
Here are some more renders. The bottle base design is inspired by apothecary and witch potion bottles that go well with infused alcoholic beverages. We wanted to create a unique bottle shape but the style we were looking for was impossible to find online, so Lesley used her 3D Object Design skills to design our bottles on Rhino 6 and Grasshopper, then rendered them as realistic as possible in all our mockups.
For our packaging, we thought of having it inside an apothecary inspired box to tie in the vintage apothecary/potion theme the brand is going for. Since it's a luxury item, the packaging is meant to be a collectors item. If you are to buy all three beverages, the boxes will look and act as a apothecaries shelf.
